What have we contributed this week:
This was the half term week where we had planned to get most of the filming done which would allow us to have less stress over the week we had left to film. This week we had to contact all the cast and crew members to figure out all the days they could film bearing in mind that others' had other groups as priority. This ensured that we could be most efficient on when we film and what we get filmed. For this week our target was to get the hardest shots done which was travelling to London and getting our shots done. We went to Bond Street to get our shots done which was very hard. We ensured as long as we get the hardest parts done we would be fine in filming the other shots for the music video.
How does this fit in with the production schedule of the project?
It allows us to get the hardest shots done and it would ensure that we will not fall behind while filming shots at school. We specified what day we would film which meant we can be efficient on when we are actually filming and this would allow us to manage our time and be consistent on what we are filming
Were there any problems that you faced?
The problems we faced was that some of our cast members could not come to film due to them being busy so this meant we may be in risk of falling behind on our filming schedule.
How did you overcome them?
I was strict with the members of our crew because if this was a major problem we would fall behind on our production schedule and we would get into trouble when filming on our last week.
Plans for the following week?
We plan to get atleast 95% of the filming done which will allow us to get feedback so we can improve certain shots.

Job Roles & Resposibilities
I have chosen my Cast to be Kaval, Taylor and Myself because we all have abilities that would benefit us throughout the whole of the creation of the Music Video.
Kaval:
As a friend and as a media student Kaval has very good camera skills which allows us to prefect the shots and replicate the exact way we intended to create the shots. By having a good camera man we can ensure that the shots are perfected and that the music video looks as professional as possible. Also Kaval as an actor is not camera shy and can do anything that he is told. He is a very responsible meber overall and can be trusted.
Taylor:
She is going to be the actress for the Music Video. I have chosen her because she is not camera shy and she is a very close friend and she can be trusted to do acting without losing character or fooling around. Also she can act exactly as she is told which can help me remove any anomalies from when we are filming. This meaning she does not make many mistakes as she knows what she is doing.
Myself (Thajeethan)
I have nominated myself as the director and Editor because I have previous expereinces of this because I have taken media as a subject in the past and achieved very good results. Also I do youtube videios where editing comes into play whi ch allows me to have an advantage over other. Also as I own an iMac i can also practise on Final Cut Pro which is a very big help for when editing our Media video and when I have to put the clips together to cut to the beats and flow better. Also as the director I have responsiblities to hold aswell because if I am not concentrating and I don't have the right mind set I will not be able to direct my music video as well as I could.

Weekly Production Log - Week 4
What have we contributed this week:
Throughout the course of this week we had ensured that we finished all the paper work in order for us to proceed into the filming stage. On February 10th we managed to complete all our paperwork for the project we are doing. We was very pleased and pretty much excited about filming a full music video as a project. We was very eager to start filming and we had to wait until Wednesday for the teacher to go through the paperwork with us.
How does this fit in with the production schedule of the project?
It allows us to proceed into the stage of filming and it helps us because we have had permission to film and we had all the cast sign a contract to be in the music video and not "jump of the boat" near the time we actually start to film. Also we was 1 whole day late for starting the filming when we figured out we was missing a piece of paperwork. This meant we had to re-do that one specific paperwork again.
Were there any problems that you faced?
The problems we faced was that we lost on piece of paperwork which meant that we was behind on the filming by one day. We had lost the location reccies piece of work and we had to redo it. This meant we lost valuable time filming during school hours.
How did you overcome them?
To overcome the lost piece of work we had to re-do that piece of work using a backed up version which had most of the work we did which was lucky but we still had a bit of work to do. To overcome the filming issue where we was 1 day behind we filmed our first few shots after school in order for us to catch up with the time we actually missed.
Plans for the following week?
We plan to film most of the hard shots during the course of next week as it is half term. This is the only chane we would have to ensure that we get most of the filming done as most of us are free and we have the whole day to ourselves to film.

Permission for Filming
As we are filming through various places for our Media Music Video we will need some places to allow us permission to film. In particular the train station. Here we had researched that it would cost upto £500 per week to film at a train station but we have decided that we would shorten the time take to film on a train to avoid privacy concern.
Also another place we would be filming is London Bond Street. There would be a scene where the actress walks into the Louis Vuitton Store. This meant we had to ask permission from Louis Vuitton in order to film in their premises. I had emailed them regarding this and have not got a reply back. This maybe because it takes up to 4 days for us to receive an E-Mail back due to the high volumes of E-Mails they receive.

Also public places do not require permission but as told it had to be mentioned here in the blog post. I have concluded that there will be public places used such as Brookside Park, the Chadwell Heath Area in common and other places such as Romford. Also we have asked our actress for permission to use her house and she has said yes and allowed us to film which is excellent. Also we will be filming at our cameraman's house which he has also said yes to which is very good news and which will now allow us to proceed into actually creating the music video itself.

Weekly Production Log - Week 3
What have we contributed this week:
Throughout this week me and my partner Kaval have been finishing up the script in order for us to start filming. We ended up getting just over 90 shots which is average for a music video. After receiving some important feedback we managed to pull another 16 shots which allowed us to proceed into the 100's which was very good and which would allow us to keep the flow of the music video well and up beat. Looking through our Music Video script we came a conclusion to re - do the chorus so there is performance along with the narrative. We intended to have 50:50 ratio with the mixture of Performance and Narrative. As my song is based on a guy's girlfriend we went for the relationship breaking up narrative which would be perfect for our music video.
How does this fit in with the production schedule of the project?
Without the shooting script pretty much we cannot do anything related to filming at this stage. By planning ahead we enabled ourselves to get a mini schedule of when we can film each scene depending on the time, weather and place. Also we had to talk to other members of the group where they would be told when they should come or when they could actually come.
Were there any problems that you faced?
The problems that we faced during the course of the week was fixing up the shooting script. With the feedback we actually received we intended that it was going to be very confusing changing around the shots to make it feel much better and flow better. We feared that it would mess up the whole script and we would have to start all over again.
How did you overcome them?
To overcome the script problem me and kaval went home after school and spent a good hour or two re considering our initial idea for the script. We decided to keep the structure of the music video but obviously we had to change the shot types and how the actual music video would turn out to be.

Weekly Production Log - Week 2
Throughout this week I have been working on my Script for the Music video I will be creating in the near future. So far everything is going well and I have almost finished my Script. We have One more verse and Chorus to go. To improve our music video we looked on Youtube for videos that could help us with our concept of our Music Video
We viewed some videos where we can get ideas for our music video to make it look more professional. The most important thing we actually came across was that all music videos' shots where moving which meant that we has to reduce the amount of the still shots we had. When we create the music video itself hopefully I can remove more of the still shots to allow the music video to flow.
We did not encounter any problems through this week as all the work was getting completed and no one in the group was falling behind. This meant when we came into every lesson we got on with our work and go through most of the shot list for my music video. Working as a group could have been more efficient because both of us sometimes got easily distracted by other members within the classroom. To prevent this we moved away from people we'd get distracted from and concentrated on our work.
